He was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about fly fishing and the waters of Taupo, and was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. We had 1/2 day beginners fly fishing trip with Steve. We are a young couple holidaying from Australia looking for some fishing experience in Taupo. We had an absolute blast with Steve, he easily guided us on the basics of fly fishing and we managed to hook onto a couple of lovely sized rainbow trout. He knew a lot about the area and the ecosystem of the trout in the lake. An affordable experience. Great weather and a fantastic time. Highly recommend giving it a shot !
